'Home Run for Hope' Charity Softball Game Steps Up to Support Foster Care in Marshall County

Citizens Bank & Trust is proud to host Home Run for Hope, a charity softball game benefiting Not Alone, a local nonprofit serving children, families, and social workers involved in the foster care system in Marshall County.

The game will take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 6 p.m. and will feature a lighthearted but meaningful matchup between two community-built teams: the Catfish Cowboys and the Hillbilly Bucks. General Admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at https://givebutter.com/c/homerunforhope.

Players include local business leaders, coaches, and community members and the coaching lineups are just as impressive.

“It’s not every day you see community leaders trading their usual roles for a spot on the ballfield — but that’s what makes this event so special,” said Kasey Culbert, Marketing Officer at Citizens Bank & Trust and event organizer. “Every kid deserves a team – not just on the field, but in life. That’s what this event is really about. We wanted to create something fun that brings the community together while also supporting the kids, families, and social workers who are walking through some really tough moments. Home Run for Hope is a way for all of us to show up — to be part of that team.” The event will include ballpark classics like burgers and popcorn, a home run derby followed by a big game, and fun for the whole family.

“Every child deserves to feel supported — especially during the difficult transition into foster care,” said Jonathan Johnson, Executive Director of Not Alone. “We’re grateful to all of the sponsors the entire community for rallying behind this cause. Events like this remind us that it really does take a village.”

Home Run for Hope will raise funds to support Not Alone’s programs including their current effort to build a home that would be the first landing spot for kids entering foster care until they are placed with a foster family.

A special thank-you to the event’s 32 generous sponsors, whose support makes this event –  and its impact – possible.
