Citizens Bank & Trust adds business leader to Board of Directors

Citizens Bank & Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Weathers to its Board of Directors for the Marshall County-based bank.

Weathers brings extensive business leadership experience and a strong commitment to community development to his new bank role. He serves as Vice President of Weathers Ace Hardware & Appliance Co. and Rentals of Marshall County, both long-standing family-owned businesses.

“Jeff brings a strong business background, a heart for this community, and a forward-thinking perspective that will serve our bank well,” said Charlie Williams, President and CEO of Citizens Bank & Trust. “He understands the importance of supporting local businesses, investing in our communities, and building long-term relationships, values that are central to our mission.”

Weathers is a 2002 graduate of Boaz High School and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University. He returned home after college to join the company and became a partner in 2008.

Since that time, the Weathers business has expanded to include an appliance repair department and three additional Ace Hardware locations in Madison, Huntsville, and Oneonta. Weathers Furniture & Appliance was honored as the 2024 and 2025 Southeast Region Dealer of the Year. Jeff also has been an active investor in the local real estate market since 2012.

Citizens Chairman of the Board Mike Alred noted that “Jeff’s experience, leadership, and commitment to local businesses make him an excellent addition to our Board. We are confident his insight and dedication will help guide Citizens Bank & Trust as we continue to grow and serve our communities.”

Weathers has demonstrated consistent leadership throughout Marshall County and the surrounding region. He serves as Vice-Chair of the Boaz Industrial Development Board and is a member of the Marshall County Economic Development Council Board of Directors.

A graduate of the Marshall County Leadership Challenge, Weathers previously served on the boards of the Boaz Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of Marshall County, and the Boaz Rotary Club. Regional and national experience includes eight years on the AVB Southeast board, including two years as Region President, and two years on the Brandsource national board.

Weathers and his wife, Eleanor, have three children: Will, Sam and Abigail. The family are members of First Baptist Church in Boaz, where Jeff serves on the finance and Shepherd’s Place committees. He succeeds Bobby Weathers, who recently retired from the Board and continues to serve as Director Emeritus.
