Citizens Bank and Trust Raises Over $35,000 For Northeast Alabama FCA
05/01/2017
Guntersville, Ala, May 1 — Citizens Bank & Trust hosted its 3rd Annual Citizens Charity Classic Golf Tournament on Monday, April 24, 2017. Held at Gunter’s Landing Golf Course, the tournament benefited Northeast Alabama Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Over the past three years, the Citizens Charity Classic has raised $102,551.00 for FCA.
“We’re thrilled with the success of this year’s tournament and with the opportunity to get out as an institution and support this worthy cause,” said Citizens Bank & Trust President/CEO Charlie Williams. “Around 2014, our Bank realized we could do more to give back and we began thinking of hosting this golf tournament. It has been great watching it grow over the past three years., and we’ve enjoyed partnering with FCA, it has truly been a blessing.”
It was a full tournament with 192 golfers participating over two flights. Golfers were able to choose either a morning or afternoon tee time, and enjoyed fellowship with other participants throughout the day. Prize money was awarded to first, second, and third place winners in two flights in both the morning and afternoon tee times. Everyone also had the opportunity to win door prizes including a Traeger Pro Series Grill, the grand prize.
“Our main goal of this tournament is to raise funds for our beneficiary, but it’s also to make sure our participants have fun and enjoy the day too,” said Citizens Bank & Trust Marketing Officer and Tournament Manger, Kasey Crochet Culbert. “I think we’ve accomplished both this year and it would absolutely not be possible without all of the support from our sponsors. FCA does such great and important work, and it’s encouraging to see so much support from our community for them through our event.”
