Citizens Bank & Trust Hosts 250+ at 4th Annual Citizens Business Summit with Keynote, Andy Andrews

Citizens Bank & Trust held its 4th Annual Citizens Business Summit on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the Lake Guntersville State Park. The keynote speaker was Andy Andrews, author of the New York Times bestseller “The Traveler’s Gift” and newly released “The Bottom of the Pool: Thinking Beyond Your Boundaries to Achieve Extraordinary Results”.

Also joining this year’s speaker line-up was economic expert, Dr. Loren Scott, and Billy Ainsworth, Group President of Energy & Transportation at Caterpillar, Inc.

Charlie Williams, President/CEO of Citizens Bank & Trust said:

“Our Bank continues to work to bring something to our business community and to leaders in our community that might shed some light on issues that are in front of all of us. We know many leaders in our community wear many different hats and as a result have little to no time, perhaps no opportunity, to hear from industry experts. As I’ve stated before, if Citizens Bank & Trust can play a role in helping our leaders be more effective, then our community as a whole is the beneficiary. When we grow our community, our community grows us and investing in this event continues to make a sense to us. Thanks to all that shared their time again with us at this year’s Summit.”

The Bank designed this event to bring together business leaders from North Alabama to learn about trends and challenges in the small business world, to network, and to grow in a way that helps their business or organization.  Over 250 people attended the half-day “mini-conference”.

The free event began with breakfast in the Grandview Ballroom, followed by talks from Scott, Ainsworth, and Andrews respectively. Attendees took advantage of networking time during breaks and many were able to take home a book signed by Andrews.

“We are very pleased to have had our largest turnout yet for our Business Summit”, said Kasey Culbert, Marketing Officer at Citizens Bank & Trust. Culbert added, “The purpose of our Summit is to provide an event for our business community that is relevant, professional, and worth one’s time.”
