Citizens Bank & Trust continues growth with Decatur loan production office

Citizens Bank & Trust, one of Alabama's fastest-growing community banks, has continued its expansion with a Decatur Loan Production Office.

Located downtown at 814 Bank Street, the Citizens local lending team will look familiar to many customers. The office is staffed by local bankers who have been serving the Morgan County area for many years. 

Danny Riggs, Commercial Loan Officer and manager of the Decatur office, is a life-long Decatur resident and Austin High School graduate. He has been with Citizens Bank & Trust for 11 years. Jessica Franks is Loan Assistant for the new office. She has lived in Decatur almost 20 years and worked in banking administration prior to joining Citizens.

Also based at the Decatur office is Robert Curtis, Senior Vice President for Citizens' Northern Region. Curtis is also a north Alabama native who has served area customers for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of the Decatur-Morgan County Leadership Program and also served as president of the Alabama Young Bankers Association.

The new Loan Production Office in Decatur’s historic downtown area is a 123-year-old building that served as a bank many decades ago. While renovating the building Citizens realized the antique bank vault lock was still in place and decided to leave it intact. 

“We are big on tradition and what we proudly call old-fashioned values — along with modern lending services equal to much larger institutions. The historic vault lock is a perfect reflection of the community-oriented traditions we bring to local lending and banking,” Williams said.
